New Zealand Flight Information

Flying to New Zealand? Aim to arrive at one of our major international airports - Auckland Airport, Wellington Airport or Christchurch Airport - and you can pick up your easygo camper straight away!

Auckland International Airport is New Zealand’s largest and busiest airport, and a major international air hub.  The easygo campers client service centre is located just five minutes’ drive from Auckland International Airport, and we’ll even collect you from your flight! Auckland city is around 45 minutes’ drive from our Auckland client service centre.

Auckland Airport welcomes flights from over 20 international airlines, including Qantas, Pacific Blue, Jetstar, Emirates, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific and China Southern Airlines. You can also connect domestically from most airports within New Zealand, via Air New Zealand and Jetstar.

• Flying to Auckland from Australia: Auckland Airport welcomes numerous direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Gold Coast daily. Flights also arrive from Cairns, Adelaide, Perth and other Australian hubs on a regular basis.
   
• Flying to Auckland from the rest of the world: As well as the Australian flights, regular international arrivals at Auckland Airport include those from Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Nadi, Bangkok, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rarotonga and many other international destinations.
   
• Auckland Airport Terminals: Auckland Airport has one international terminal and one domestic terminal. The domestic terminal is a short (five minute) walk from the international terminal, or can be accessed via a regular free inter-terminal shuttle bus.
   
• Auckland Airport departures: Auckland Airport is the primary international departure hub from New Zealand. Return your easygo camper to the Auckland client service centre and we’ll transfer you to Auckland International Airport in time for your departing flight.

Wellington International Airport is located just 8kms from New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington. The easygo campers Wellington client service centre is located approximately 30 minutes’ drive from Wellington International Airport, and we offer courtesy transfers to and from your flight. 

• Flying to Wellington International Airport: Wellington Airport services numerous domestic flights from around New Zealand, as well as direct flights to and from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Fiji with Air New Zealand, Qantas and Pacific Blue. 
   
• Departing Wellington International Airport: As with any international departure, you should be checked into your flight at least 90 minutes prior to your departure (or more if stipulated by your airline). Domestic flight check-in is usually 30 minutes prior to departure. Please consider the 30 minute travel time from our Wellington client service centre to the airport when planning your departure from Wellington.

Christchurch International Airport is the gateway to the South Island of New Zealand. It is situated just 11km (or around 20 minutes’ drive) from Christchurch city centre. The easygo campers Christchurch client service centre is a short five minute drive from the airport. We provide courtesy airport transfers to and from our client service centre.

Christchurch Airport is serviced by numerous international airlines including Air Asia X, Emirates, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Jetstar and Air Pacific.  Christchurch is also well-connected to most domestic airports within New Zealand including Queenstown, Wanaka, Dunedin, Invercargill, Rotorua, Auckland and Wellington.

• Flying to Christchurch from Australia: Regular flights arrive daily into Christchurch from Australia’s main east coast hubs of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Gold Coast. Qantas, Air New Zealand, Jetstar and Emirates all operate direct flights between Australia’s east coast and Christchurch.
   
• Flying to Christchurch from the rest of the world: As well as the Australian flights outlined above, direct flights arrive regularly into Christchurch International Airport from Tokyo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Nadi and Rarotonga.
   
• Christchurch Airport Terminals: Christchurch International Airport has one terminal from which all international and domestic flights arrive and depart.
   
• Christchurch Airport Departures: Return your easygo camper to the Christchurch client service centre and we will transfer you to the airport in time for your departing flight. Please allow enough time for the campervan return procedure, the short drive to the airport and your check-in lead time (which can be confirmed with your airline).

• New Zealand Customs & Immigration: On any international arrival into New Zealand, you will have to proceed through New Zealand customs and immigration. Please ensure you have all the valid visas, identification and customs documentation, and ensure you are complying with all New Zealand customs regulations.
   
• LAG Regulations: For any international departures, ensure you are familiar with the 2007 liquids, aerosols and gels regulations. You can find more information on LAG regulations here >>
   
• Departure Fees: An international departure fee applies to all international flights leaving New Zealand. At Auckland Airport and Christchurch Airport your departure fee has already been factored into the cost of your ticket, so you do not have to pay an additional fee before departing. At Wellington Airport, you must pay a $25 fee per adult and $10 fee per child aged 2-11 for all international departures. Departure fee payment locations will be sign posted inside the departure area.
